Guide to Lake Tekapo
For our trip, Lake Tekapo was a bit of a stopover town. As we were too tired to drive all the way to Mt Cook from Christchurch and we also needed to work out how best to organize and use our campervan. Tekapo, in comparison to some of the towns we would later visit, had a pretty developed town center – there was a grocery store, the fanciest public toilets Bill has ever used (it even played music!), as well as a wide selection of restaurants and coffee shops. While we didn’t take advantage of many of the activities that Tekapo has to offer (hello, jet lag!) and we cooked dinner in the campervan, I’ve compiled a few of the options that peaked my interest!
