Circular Vase Flower Arranging

Circular Vase Flower Arranging

If you're like me at all, I love skimming through blog posts filled with classic decor and beautifully arranged flowers.  Planning the flowers for my wedding was one of my favorite parts of the planning process and now that the big day has come and gone, I find myself looking for ways to add bursts of color to our home through floral arrangements.

We were lucky enough to receive some gorgeous vases as wedding gifts.  I absolutely love the Kate Spade Calhoun Court Circular vase I received from my aunt, but I had absolutely no idea how to arrange beautiful floating roses like I'd seen all over instagram and pinterest.  So I turned to you tube, I found several tutorials, which I will now share with you.

supplies:
Circular Vase
Long Stem Roses
Scotch Tape
Scissors

directions:
First, fill your vase with water and flower food, if available.

Using the scotch tape, create a grid, first by putting tape across the top of the vase horizontally. Next, add the vertical strips to complete the grid.

Trim the roses of any leaves and cut to fit in the rounded vase. I like to trim each rose individually as I place them, to ensure the correct height. Make sure to cut at an angle so your roses get enough water.

As you cut each rose, place and arrange them using the grid system. Continue placing roses until your arrangement looks full. Remember roses will continue to bloom, so if the arrangement isn't super full, it will fill out in a day or two.
